Student Jobs Germany

Any candidate who has full-time/part-time student status can apply, regardless of age. 
 
The working stay in Germany is limited to 90 days within a year (12 months). The program is made possible without a work visa and is only valid for students. The students work for this period only with a work permit issued form the Federal Employment Agency.

  • Erklärung zur Immatrikulationsbescheinigung (document intended for students to apply for work in Germany) in 3 (three) original copies with the signature and stamp of the dean of the faculty where you are studying
  • Enrolment certificate in 2 (two) original copies with a stamp and hand signature
  • German or engish translation of the enrolment certificate 
 

You can download this document from our website and fill it out. After filling it out, you should take it to your faculty in 3 copies to get a signature and stamp from the dean. You can usually do this in the student service. 

The deadline for applying for the summer program is 30.03 in the current year.

Upon submission of the application documents, payment for the first deposit in the amount  of 3000 denars is required. (This amount is ultimately deducted from the total cost of the program).
Upon obtaining the work permit, payment of the remaining part of the amount specified in the contract is made.

Insurance and transport (by bus) can be provided by us, but they are not included in the price of the program. In cooperation with Halk Insurance, we offer travel insurance that covers the entire stay in Germany, it costs 2700 denars and covers damage from 0 to 30 000 euros.

Some companies have own or offer collective accommodation. Usually the costs for this accomodation are deducted from salary. Where accomodation isn’t provided, POSREDNIK help to find or arange it.
 

Due to the fact that it is a matter of seasonal work within 90 days, there is no legal obligations to register in the municipality. The registration is usualy only made so the students can open a bank account in a local bank.

 

Yes, they will be specified in the contract with the employer. Usually the students need to pay the rent for the whole month or similar costs. 

 

Knowledge of English on communication level is mandatory , while knowledge of German is not, but certainly desirable.

 

Issuance of work permits is the responsibility of the German Employment Agency in Cologne. And usually it takes from 4 to 8 weeks to be issued. 

 

Due to the fact that the permit is issued following a request submitted by the employer to the German Employment Embassy in Cologne and the fact that several parties are involved in the whole process, there is always a possibility that the permit will not be issued for some unknown reasons.

In case the candidate doesn’t get a work permit, the amount of non-refundable funds is equal to the administrative costs.
If the candidate withdraws for any reason, the amount of non-refundable funds depends on the period of termination of the contract.

 

Health Insurance

Yes, it is mandatory. Without health insurance you cannot start work. 
If you are a student, you can pick up the insurance at our office, we cooperate with Halk Insurance. If you are candidate with long-term employment in Germany, you are insured in the German Health Insurance System.
 

You can activate the insurance by calling the phone number on the policy.

The price is 2700 denars and covers the entire stay in Germany, 90 days

The insurance covers damage from 9 to 30 000 euros without a franchise. If the damage is up to 200 euros, it should be paid in Germany, and within 7 days of returning to Macedonia, the funds will be refunded by Halk.

 

Tax Refund

The deadline for tax refund application is three years after coming back from Germany.

The required documents for tax refund application are:
1. Copy of valid passport
2. Copy of work permit or work contract
3. Lohnsteuerbescheinigung (income statetement from the year you want to get the tax back. You need to get it from your employer)
4. Income certificate from the regional tax office in your country (Finanzamt) which need to be translated by a certified German translator
5. Foreign bank account in EUR (IBAN & SWIFT/BIC)
6. Tax Identification Number
 

The cost of the procedure is 3000 denars.

The procedure takes from 3 to 6 months from the moment the documents are processed and sent to Germany.

Work VISA Germany (Western Balkan Program)

In order to work in Germany, you need to have a work visa. To obtain a work visa, you must first apply online for an appointment at the German Embassy.
 
The appointment is scheduled electronically on the website of the German Embassy. For the entire procedure and the period when the period when the necessary appointments can be scheduled, it is best to inform yourself on the website and Facebook page of the Germany Embassy.
 

The waiting time for a visa application appointment depends on the visa category you are applying for.

Applications for a visa appointment for the West Balkan are opened every month on the website of the German Embassy. The application is online and lasts 7 days. The candidate can apply only once during the month. After the applications are closed, a lottery is used to select which candidates will get a visa appointment. If you are not selected in the following month the candidate must to apply next month one more time. 

The job positions depend on your qualifications and your work experience. Most of your job offers are in the field of hospitality and gastronomy.
 

Once you have received an appointment for a visa, you should register on our website and fulfill your profile in English or German and apply on the jobs that suits you. After that we will contact you with the information if you are accepted or rejected for the job you appliced for, or maybe offer you another position. The next step is to send us a copy of your passport and forward the appointment to us by email.

For some kinds of Visas

Depending on the visa you are applying for or the job position, the level of the German language is also different. Example: for family reunification (marriage and children with parents) knowledge at level A1, skilled labor B2 etc.

The only accepted langeuage certificates are that from:

  • Goethe Institute,
  • TELC or
  • ÖSD

When submitting the request, in any case, it will be checked whether the level really corresponds to the diploma.

It doesn’t matter where you will learn the language, it is important that you take the exam in a school in the Republic of North Macedonia or Germany that has a license from the Goethe Institute, TELC or ÖSD.

Seasonal Work in Croatia

All work-capable candidates over the age of 18 can apply for a job in Croatia.
 

In the area of hotels and gastronomy, all the positions that have the hotels with who we cooperate.

The usual minimum working hours are 40 per week, according to the contract. But considering that it’s a seasonal job, usually you’ll have extra hours in agreement with the employer.

  • Certificate of non-conviction issued by the Basic Court by place of birth and translated into Croatian by an authorized court translator
  • Copy of diploma for completed last education
Depending on the position, the salary ranges from 800 to 2000 euros.
 

According to the work contracts, any overtime work, night work, weekends and holidays are paid additionally, and bonuses follow only after the full implementation of the contract.

Employers provide accommodation at their expense, and two meals during the day are also provided.

As seasonal workers, you can work for a maximum of 6 months.

No, applicants are expected to be ready and usually start work immediately, after getting to know the work place.
 

The work clothes are provided by the hotels according with their work standards.
